Superb Well Figured Sienna Marble French
Mantle Clock Garniture with lavish bronze mounts of impressive
proportions. The movement with a circular silvered dial with original steel
Breguet hands and Roman numerals, on top is an exceptionally fine example of a
patinated bronze figure depicting the "Crouching Venus", complete with its
original tazza sidepieces, all raised on bronze bracket feet. Second quarter
19th Century.

French Box was made in 1891 and is quite simple a Masterclass in
Construction and design. The Box was made to store a Ladies Collection
of Scarfs ( yes Scarfs!!,... France was a very Rich Country Circa 1890).
Lets Start with the Woods used in the Superb French Creation - Birds
Eye Maple is the dominant wood with Ebony, Kingwood, Satinwood and
Rosewood. The Box is mounted with Brass and raised on 4 Brass feet.
