Investment News looks Promising for the Art & Antique Market

An increasing number of buyers are turning to the
Arts and Antiques market as an alternative investment,
according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
(RICS) Art and Antiques Survey.

The survey suggests that consumers increasingly
view art and antiques as tangible assets which perform
better than other forms of investment .

Simon Rubinson, RICS chief economist,
observed that the art and antiques market
is buoyant at present, as Britons continue to
invest in material assets during
turbulent economic times

Michael Coleman - Oil Painting - Lord Gort's Hunting Lodge - Circa 1970 This Painting is a True Masterpiece of Irish Art and displays brillantly the influence that Nature has on the Mind of Michael throughout his Artisitic Career, which of course is still going strong. This Painting of Lord Gort's hunting lodge was one of Michael's first Oil Paintings and shows the heavy stroke work that is apparent in all his work. The Lodge is in Ballysheedy , Co. Limerick and Michael resided there in the early 1970's. This painting is of the front of the building through the trees and Michael's affinity with Nature and Genius in depicting same is evident at this early stage of his work.
