Brexit Update

From The Premier Dealers - BREXIT and The Art and Antiques industry in Ireland - The British Prime Minister Teresa May in her recent speech on Brexit suggests a 'hard brexit' is to be expected. Martin Fennelly of the Premier Art and Antique Dealers of Ireland praised the fresh clarity but vowed to continue to lobby the Irish Government for a deal that benefits the Irish Antique and Art Dealers. “on behalf of The Premier Art and Antique Dealers I will be pressing the government to negotiate the best possible deal, so dealers are not subjected to the paperwork and border controls that currently apply when goods are imported from outside the EU. We don’t want to see dealers held up at the border and asked to account for import custom charges when they arrive at Holyhead Ferry crossings etc. The Premier Dealer Network have made contact with Enda Kenny's office suggesting strongly that it would be prudent to appoint an Irish 'Brexit' Minister so that the concerns of The Art and Antiques industry which is an important resource both for the Irish People and Tourists could be communicated with ease” #Brexithttps://www.facebook.com/premierantiquedealers
