This Piece is indeed an Incredible Find by David O'Reilly (Owner Antique Fireplace Restoration). Bossi, An Italian Artesan perfected the technique of Inlaying Marble Chimney Pieces with polychrome Scagliola designs.  Rare Pair of Irish 18th century walnut chairs, the crest rail centered by a scallop shell and scrolls above a baluster splat and shaped stiles, the shaped seat rails with drop-in seats covered in associated brightly coloured 18th century French 'bizarre' needlework, standing on cabriole legs headed by carved scallop shells and flowers terminating in trifid feet with wavered stretchers.
